Nope, you just don’t understand that Canada’s shift to population growth based around temporary residency means they no longer count as unemployed, so the percentages don’t matter.

It’s about the absolute claims when it comes to liabilities.

That’s the comments coming from the US FED – “Higher for Longer” is the new normal. And as we follow the US FED in IR decisions – it’s going to be a bumpy next 20 years to say the least.

Exactly, elections need to be won in the US and eventually here in Canada. Democrats and Liberals (with the same political agenda) are not going to blow up their respective economy when voters are going to the ballot box. Need to raise, in order to cut (print/pump).

As well, higher for longer, if it’s anything like the Bank Of Canada’s Tiff Macklem saying interest rates will stay low for an extended time, then a rug pull.. why not do the same to investors believing ” higher for longer” ?

Claims about the absolute numbers of claims, and comparing them to 15 years ago, are quietly ignoring that our population is significantly larger than it was 15 years ago.

Use the percentages, not absolute numbers. The only reason to use absolute numbers, and to ignore that the overall population has gone up, is to obscure that the same absolute number is a lower percentage.

Garbage clickbait.

Something is off, fudging numbers for what reason? Then again, whenever you hear ” I’m from the government, I’m here to help”, – run- .
