Trader Jim, think you mean racialized, not radicalized. But racialized people may well become radicalized too, due to all of the inequality here in Canada!

Pyschopathic but correct. The headwind is how long can investors control the political system once the homeownership rate drops below 50%? Not long, and the swing on the political spectrum is directly proportional in size to the exploitation conducted on that voting populace.

More people mean more servicing opportunities, and that ultimately means more money to pay rents.

The fact that Canada put homes in the hands of investors is good, since it means the price isn’t tied to any sort of income. A renter can pay 50% of their income and it’s not a problem from the government’s mind. There’s even politicians that have declared mortgage payments that equal half their income.

When does Canada pretend this demographic is hurt the most from the home buying process, and use tax dollars to get them to pump the market even without sufficient work… for equality, duh.

Canada’s involuntary part-time: 18.9%

Canadians by radicalized group:
– Black: 31.9%
– South Asian: 29.8%
– Chinese: 20.6%

Most people would jump to discrimination, but those are also the racialized groups dominant in the regions Canada has seen immigration ramp up. Would be nice if Stats Can provided radicalized groups and asked about years since becoming Canadian to gain some real insight into these numbers.
