I hate when people that have no clue definitively state something is wrong. I spent way too much time trying to figure out how multiplying it by 4 results in the number, since that doesn’t result in a number close to anything in the article.

I’m pretty sure it’s a weighted growth average, which I get within’ spitting distance of when I run. Obviously there’s going to be a difference since rounding will vary, but it wasn’t a bad estimate. The Federal Government stated an estimate that was even larger, indicating the Q3 admissions are going to be higher (they always are).

Very good article. Housing does not support the influx of new migrants and students. Recipe for disaster and no regard for the fallout . As you said”irreversible path” . Toronto, it’s said there are 132,000 empty bedrooms and that citizens should offer new migrants a place to sleep. A stranger from a strange land, sharing your home bc of the repeated shortfalls of the federal government’s policies. Sorry, have to pass on that one.

Q2 visas are for fall admissions, when most programs start. You can’t multiply that number by four to get annual projections because the other three quarters are vastly lower.

Canada is becoming a state of India due to this Student Visa policy. 200K students only from India comes every year and then we have another around 200K immigrants from India every year. Every small town is flooded with these Indian students. 700 Indian students were charged with criminal with false papers from India and we could not send them back. I m not against any nation. These are just pure govt data.

Everyone I’ve spoken to, of all backgrounds, have said they want this to stop. It’s diluting our own domestic resources, worsening our infrastructure, the housing market and our health care system. Will the next group of politicians want to hear this, or will they remain deaf to the problems they themselves are the cause of?
