The unscrupulous real estate investor and dubious relators who are flipping homes to make a quick buck are a problem. I do feel sorry for the average joe who bought their first home on inflated values. But I do not feel sorry for the guys buying new cars, trucks and toys on lines of credit attached to their home. I lived through the early 80’s when this was the case and people were walking into the Banks and tossing their keys on the table and walking away from their obligations. Of course they had to declare bankruptcy but they were out from the debt. Mortgage rates hit 19% and I had a business with a line of credit which peaked at 23%. I managed to survive but I had many sleepless nights.
