Inflation isn’t a symptom, it’s a consequence.

People also need to keep in mind that 80% of restaurants fail, so the pandemic was hard but many would have failed anyway.

A better headline would be “Canadian Small Businesses going broke due to Government Policy of last 5 years”

Inflation is being pointed out as some untouchable dragon that is going to attack us and slay us.
We are supposed to believe that the entities that caused the inflation in the first place are going to provide the solution. Good luck to everyone.

Already high gas prices are affecting the way many people live Liberals don’t seem to give a hoot about the economy They are trying to blame Russia and China because they want to keep printing money Like Elon Musk said the other other day If printed money doesn’t cause inflation why not print a zillion dollars

The increase in minimum wage and the cost of employment has resulted in many previously “Canadian Based” jobs such as engineering services, call centers and online marketing services to seek services abroad at a fraction of the cost.
Go to your local grocery, hardware, or drugstore and see automated tellers too.
Ask the current workforce how they have more on their plate to do to maintain efficiency and cost.
Wait for unemployment of the young workforce to struggle.
Handing out free money, unabated quantitative easing, low interest rates and increasing wages is the perfect toxic mix to sabotage the economy for short term gain – and NO – increased immigration with flawed policies cannot stimulate the economy where the basics are flawed.
Well done Bank of Canada, Government of Canada and previous Liberal Government of Ontario
