49 Chestnut Park is a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom, semi-detached in Rosedale that was built in 1905. The backyard’s a little small, it’s a little expensive, and it’s really just built for the double-income-no-kids (DINKs), but it’s an awesome house if you’re willing to spend a little extra for the address. It’s currently listed with Jimmy Molloy at $4,995,000, a smidge over it’s pre-renovation price on $2,195,000 in 2012.
The Details
The whole place was renovated by the current owners, and they installed some nifty features like a glass-walled wine cellar, a massive third story study, and gave the master a 6 piece marble ensuite with heated floors.
It starts a little odd though – you enter into the dining room. Although you could probably reconfigure it so you were walking into a small living room, but either way it feels weird. There’s also a number of built-ins throughout, so if you don’t love the current configuration be ready to pay to have it removed.
